Feel the whole charm of two cultures during a two-day tour through Armenia and Georgia. You will see the most popular Armenian monasteries, learn of the culture and traditions of local residents and visit the neighboring country of Georgia, namely the capital city of Tbilisi.
What will you do?
On the first day of the excursion, I will show you the monastery of Khor Virap, where Saint Gregory the Illuminator have been imprisoned for 13 years. The location of the monastery is not less interesting because of the border with Turkey is located close by, as well as the mountain Ararat spread before the eyes. Continuing the tour, we will head to the monastic complex of Noravank, surrounded by red cliffs. Noravank built in the XIII-XIV century was listed into the UNESCO list being a storehouse of ancient history and unique bas-reliefs. We will finish the first day of the excursion in the village of Areni, where local hosts of the country house will welcome you warmly. You will have dinner in a warm family circle with beautiful toasts, a real, tasty shish kebab, tasting homemade wines and vodka.
On the second day after the early awakening, you will get a delicious homemade breakfast. After that, we will have a long road to the neighboring country. In Tbilisi, I will conduct a sightseeing tour around the city for you and show all the most interesting sights. In addition, we will have lunch at a local restaurant and compare Armenian and Georgian cuisine. And after the tour we will go to Erevan.
